Meet Sean Verdu

Multifaceted Talent

Sean Verdu is a dynamic professional based out of Colorado Springs with a wide range of skills and experience in the entertainment industry. Sean holds his MFA in Acting from East 15 Acting School in England and his BA in Visual and Performing Arts - Theatre Emphasis from the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs. He has performed on  the stages of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, multiple theatres in the Westend of London, and all over the state of Colorado.  Currently, he is an adjunct professor at Pikes Peak State College, where he teaches Acting 1, Acting 2, and Theatre Appreciation. He has been in education since 2010, where he started the Drama department at The Vanguard School in Colorado Springs. He is a proud member of Springs Ensemble Theatre.

 

With a passion for storytelling, he brings raw emotions to life, capturing the nuances of joy, heartbreak, and resilience. Whether he's navigating intense action scenes or delivering poignant monologues, Sean's performances resonate with audiences, inviting them to reflect on their own experiences and the complexities of life. He believes every story has the power to connect us, making each role a journey into the heart of what it means to be human. He has acted in over fifty productions, done numerous films, as well as a couple of commercials. 

 

Acting is not the only skill in the theatre that Sean has though, lighting design is another passion. He has designed for over twenty productions since 2007. Having a keen eye for shadows and tension building light fades, he is drawn to lighting for moody, dark stories. Sean is also a director for the stage. He is drawn to intense, in-yer-face style productions that hit at the heart of loss and longing for more. 

His expertise in acting, education, lighting design, and directing sets him apart, allowing him to offer unparalleled insights and guidance in the world of performing arts. ​
